The 100th anniversary of women?s suffrage serves as a reminder that rights may be won, but fairness and equality are always a work in progress and active struggle.I really appreciate the hard work from everyone, including Sandra, my crew, photographer Jonathan Furlong, Carlo from Station 16 Gallery, and Molly from Downtown Austin Town Alliance, the Writing On The Walls team, and the Line Hotel who helped to bring this project to life.I was told the mural is the largest in Austin TX! -Shepard.Sandra, Fred, and with the assistance of local artist Luis Angulo, did an amazing job of realistic rendering in the grey areas of the face.The mural is quite large and complex, so my crew of Nic Bowers, Rob Zagula, Dan Flores, and I worked from 8AM to dark around 6:30 or 7 each day to complete it on schedule.Sandra had never painted a large mural, so my crew and I painted in our usual style including a simplified under-painting in the grey areas for Sandra and her assistant Fred to paint on top of
